Chests

Chests are a major feature in Build A Boat For Treasure. Chests can be purchased in the Shop. When opened, they give the player a certain number of blocks, which can be calculated by dividing the price of the chest by 5. A button at the bottom right of a chest's product page opens a menu which displays the assortment of blocks which contains and the minimum number of items it rewards.

The price of each chest depends on its rarity. Beginning at five gold with Common, it increases each level by the previous price multiplied by three, or, in equation form, $5*3^{n}$, where n is the rarity level, beginning at zero.

	Common Chest	5 Gold	Common Chests are the cheapest chests in the game. They usually give out weak starter items such as wood blocks. It has a very small chance to drop a Common Chest Block.
	Uncommon Chest	15 Gold	Uncommon Chests are the second cheapest chests in the game. They typically hold better materials than Common. It has a very small chance to drop an Uncommon Chest Block.
	Rare Chest	45 Gold	Rare Chests are the third cheapest chests in the game. The chest can give materials, such as Cannons, Banners, Marble, and Metal. It has a very small chance to drop a Rare Chest Block.
	Epic Chest	135 Gold	Epic Chests are one of the best and most expensive chests in the game. Upon buying, it will give mostly strong blocks, such as Metal and Marble. When purchased, it will give 23+ blocks of either Titanium or Concrete, making it one of the best chests for farming Titanium Blocks. This chest used to be the rarest chest until the Legendary Chest replaced it. It has a very small chance to drop an Epic Chest Block.
	Legendary Chest	405 Gold	Legendary Chests are the best and most expensive chests in the game, and the only chest to drop Harpoons. They also have the highest chance to reward Obsidian or Titanium. It has a very small chance to drop a Legendary Chest Block, one of the rarest obtainable items in the game to date.
	Winter Chest	60 Gold	Winter Chests were limited-time chests sold during the 2020 Christmas event. They contained the Dual Candy Cane Harpoon, which normally costed ROBUX, as well as event-exclusive materials such as the Toy Block.
